FrieslandCampina refined the positioning of their bar solutions

FrieslandCampina is a dairy and global ingredient supplier based in the Netherlands with annual revenue of over 12 billion euros. They supply dairy proteins into active nutrition and performance nutrition products. Beyond merely supplying ingredients, FrieslandCampina works with brands to develop their protein bar concepts, tackling the challenges of taste, texture and shelf life.

We were approached by the marketing team who wanted to understand the data around the protein bar market. By using our interactive platform to drill into the claims, ingredients and protein doses they were better able to position their bar solutions. Nutrition Integrated were chosen over other data suppliers because of the breadth of their data and the relevance of the categories. Many old databases use outdated categories to define sports bar and protein, whereas Nutrition Integrated have not ignored that consumers have changed in the way they categorise products.
